Sarah Whedon, Ph.D.

Sarah Whedon received a Ph.D in Religious Studies with an emphasis in Women’s Studies from the University of California at Santa Barbara in 2007. Her research areas include American religious history, women and religion, new religious movements, childhood studies and religion, religion and nature, western esotericism, and contemporary Pagan studies. Sarah’s BA and MA theses dealt with Paganism and her doctoral dissertation dealt with Waldorf education, an alternative pedagogical movement with roots in western esotericism.
