Moonoak

Alder MoonOak, Ph.D., was born & raised in Miami, Florida. In 1980 he received an AA degree from Miami-Dade College where he later worked as an English as a Second Language tutor. In 1990 a friend who knew of his interest in environmentalism & Earth spirituality gave him a copy of Green Egg magazine, which introduced him to the NeoPagan and Wiccan community. He has a been a practicing Pagan since, and is currently Priest in the Church of All Worlds, and editor of Green Egg. In 1990 he received his Bachelor’s degree, then in 2003, his Master’s in Religion, both from the University of Florida. Moonoak also holds a Ph.D. focused on NeoPaganism from the California Institute of Integral Studies. He has taught religion at the University of Florida and is currently Professor of Religion & Humanities at The College of Central Florida.
