Elizabeth Watkin’s academic interests explore witchcraft as activism and how disenfranchised groups use folk magic for empowerment. Originally from Staffordshire in the UK, she began exploring paganism and Wicca as a teenager, forming the first pagan group at her alma mater. She writes, makes art and maintains the blog Open Coven. Elizabeth has lived and worked in Italy, Zambia, and China and now resides in Western North Carolina.
